Lot 1106

1796 S-111 R5-. VG-7. Draped Bust. A few points sharper with a few old contact marks, including a dull scrape left of the lower curls, a couple small rim nicks over the O in OF, and a couple stronger ones at MER. The only other marks are a few faint hairline scratches on the portrait, but these are visible only with the aid of a good glass. All the marks blend perfectly into the natural toning, which is a slightly glossy chocolate and steel with hints of reddish chocolate in the field at the chin and under the hair ribbon. The date is bold and the legends are complete. EDS, Breen state II.
Estimated Value $200 - 400.
Ex Delgrasso 2/72-Thomas Wolf.

Realized $750
