Lot 1097
1796 S-104 R3 LIHERTY Obverse. ANACS graded VG details net G4. Sharpness VG7 but there is a patch of greenish corrosion in the field left of the lower curls and another between the uppermost leaves of the wreath. The remainder of the planchet is decent but not perfectly smooth. Some glue is caked around LIBER, but this could be removed without difficulty. The LIHERTY error is obvious, but it is not mentioned on the ANACS label, perhaps due to the glue. The date is strong as well and the legends are complete. Dark steel brown. EAC grade net G5.
