1847 N-12 R3 Repunched 8 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty steel brown and chocolate with lighter steel brown toning in protected areas. The luster is a bit subdued by a thin layer of natural oxidation, but the eye appeal remains decent. The only mark is a small spot of dark olive toning in the field at the throat. Rare EDS, die state a, with an uncracked reverse. The repunching inside the top of the 8 is sharp. Our grade is MS60, CC#1 of those known in the early die state. Pop 42; 45 finer at PCGS in BN.
Estimated Value $400-UP.

Realized $1,150
