Lot 1042

1851 N-15 R3 PCGS graded MS66 Brown. Lustrous light chocolate and steel brown with traces of slightly faded mint color showing on both sides. A beautiful, nearly flawless cent. Very similar to the preceding two lots but without the mint color. The only marks on this piece are a couple very light nicks in the field over star 2 and another in the field off the tip of the nose. M-LDS, die state b. Two short, dull points down to right extend from the lower part of the main curl. Called MS65 and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #55131. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#13 in the Grellman census.
