Lot 1000

1852 N-11 R1 MS63. Mellowed mint red fading to steel brown. About 80% of the red remains visible on the obverse and 30% on the reverse. The only marks are a spot of slightly darker toning in the middle of the neck, a tiny nick on the bust tip, and a nick on the front end of the eyebrow. The reverse is virtually flawless. M-LDS, die state d, the usual hoard die state for the variety.
