1794 C-2a R2+. VF-25. Small Edge Letters. Choice glossy chocolate brown with smooth, very attractive surfaces. No roughness or verdigris, only minor contact marks. The best identifying marks are a tiny nick low on the neck, a small rim nick above the E in LIBERTY, and a very shallow tick under the I in AMERICA. MDS, Manley state 3.0, with strong die clashmarks on the obverse. The reverse is rotated 20 degrees CW. The obverse is nicely centered but the reverse is slightly off center to K-5. Weight 105.9 grains.
