Lot 923

1804 S-266a R4+ AG3. Mostly glossy chocolate and steel with slightly darker olive brown toning in protected areas. An arc of lighter brown toning surrounds a patch of microscopic roughness in the field at the end of the hair ribbon. The remainder of the planchet is smooth. There are some nicks on the portrait and a rim nick under the 0 in the date. The date is complete and easily readable but parts of the reverse legend are gone. EDS, Breen state I, before any die cracks or cuds.
