1803 S-246 R3 VG10+. The "Mumps Variety." Glossy chocolate and light olive brown with a pair of darker vertical streaks in the field before the portrait. No roughness or verdigris. A diagonal nick in the field before the neck is the only significant contact mark. LDS, Breen state IV, with a cud break connecting STA to the rim above. The die crumbling at the throat (the "Mumps" feature) is clear.
