Lot 879

1801 S-215 R4+ VG8. Sharpness F12 or slightly better but there is some fine roughness at the date and more scattered over the reverse, mostly at OF AMER and UNI. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a short pinscratch in the field before the nose. Rather glossy reddish chocolate and olive brown. The date and legends are complete and strong. EDS, Breen state II, prior to the severe die failures left of the date.
Estimated Value $400-UP.

Realized $690
