1848 Coronet Head Cent. . N-21, R4-. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. Lustrous light bluish steel brown with 5% of the original mint red remaining. No spots or stains. There is a tiny, very light scuff in the field over star 2 and a thin nick in the leaf under the F in OF. M-LDS, die state d, with low spots (caused by debris on the die) covering the area over ONE and above the C & T in CENT as well. EAC grade MS62 and tied for CC#4. Pop 3; 1 in 65 Brown.
