1798 S-165 R4 Style II Hair with Large 8 F12. Sharpness VF25 but most of the planchet is covered with microscopic roughness, strongest on the numerator of the fraction. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a dull vertical scrape in the field behind the portrait. Slightly glossy dark steel brown and chocolate mixed with reddish chocolate and olive brown. MDS, Breen state II. Called VF20 net VG10 and tied for CC#17 in the Noyes census, his photo #26579.
