STS-51-L Challenger’s Final Flight -- Flight Crew 4 x 5" original color negative – "outtake". As every other flight crew does the crew of STS-51-L sat for an official crew portrait. At the time no one knew this flight would end in disaster. Three of the crew are seated, 4 standing behind them. All are holding their helmets and an American flag is visible behind them. The negative is (No. 1) in a protective paper NASA sleeve. Unique photograph of a crew that will always be remembered. What more is there to say.
