Lot 777

1855 N-4 R1. EF-40. Four Rim Cuds on Reverse. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown with frosty luster covering the protected areas, especially on the reverse. There are a few light nicks on the upper part of the neck and a couple spots of darker olive brown toning on the rim at stars 4 & 5. Otherwise this cent is choice and very close to EF45. LDS, die state f, with four strong rim cud breaks over STATES. The cud breaks are bold, as strong as they come for the die state. The die crack over OF that outlines the final rim cud is not present. A very nice example of this impressive die state.
Estimated Value $75-UP.
Ex Jean Woodhull 2000-Phyllis Thompson.

Realized $180
