Pair of 1842 Expertly Hand Colored Eskimo Prints. From Dr. Prichard's Natural History of Man, published 1842 in London by H. Bailliere. 1) Plate IX, "Kamtschadalee". An eskimo man in a coat of animal fur; and 2) Plate XXIX, "Woman of the Aleutian Islands". Facing female bust in a crimson and blue dress wearing a golden cross and chain. Both with expert and still vibrant 19th century hand coloring. 2 pcs.
