Space Shuttle "Columbia.", STS-1 FLOWN Flag and Patch. Space Shuttle "Columbia" FLOWN U.S. Flag and mission patch. The flag (7 ½" x 12") and patch were both flown aboard the first shuttle mission, STS-1. Commander, John Young and Pilot, Bob Crippen launched on April 12, 1981 for 2 days of performance and safety checks on the orbiter. They landed at Edwards Air Force Base April 14th. The pair comes with a NASA certificate authenticating the items. The embossed seal reads "National Aeronautics and Space Administration". The flag shows a bit of wear but overall a nice combination for a historic flight.
Estimated Value $500 - 750.
