Lot 772

1851 N-30 R2. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown Plus. Lustrous steel brown with traces of mint color remaining on the obverse and at least 10% of the red remaining on the reverse. Excellent eye appeal. The only marks are a small spot nestled between the lower two points of star 5 and a wisp of very slightly darker steel brown toning across the coronet tip. Nicely struck E-MDS, die state a late. The points from the top of ENT in CENT are clear but the fields are starting to show microscopic radial flowlines. Our grade is MS60+, CC#6 in the Grellman condition census for this variety.
Estimated Value $400-UP.
