Lot 757

1854 N-11 R2. MS-60 Plus. Lustrous light bluish steel brown with a hint of sea-green in the mix. The satiny mint frost is unbroken and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal for the grade. A choice example except for a spot of very fine carbon on the front edge of the eyeball. This spot is well hidden and is very easy to overlook, but it counts anyway. MDS, die state b. The fields are covered with fine roughness from radial die flowlines caused by die wear. Tied for CC#13 in the Grellman census.
Estimated Value $250-UP.
