Lot 725

1856 N-10 R1 Upright 5 AU58. Attractive lustrous medium steel brown and light chocolate with traces of mellowed mint red showing on both sides. The only marks worthy of mention are a small horizontal tick on the chin and a vertical nick off the lower right point of star 8. This cent offers choice mint state eye appeal but there is a hint of rub on the highest points at the ear. Nicely struck MDS, die state b. The two die lines from the dentils over the R in AMERICA are dull but still visible. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS64BN (NGC label #3313369-001 included, and it shows the attribution). Estimate Value $200 - UP

Realized $400
