1857 N-1 R1 Large Date MS62. Glossy bluish steel brown with underlying satiny mint luster and 5% of the mint red remaining. Choice except for a small planchet void in the field at the top of star 12 and a couple smaller ones in the field right of star 4, all as struck. E-MDS, die state a late. The die lines at NI are dull but clearly visible and the repunching in the dentils under the 8 is sharp. DWH #1599.
