Lot 677

1939-D Mercury Dime. NGC graded MS-68 Full Bands. Old Holder. Lovely toning on both sides. Bright silver color with a nice mixture of colorful toning lights up the surfaces of this well struck and nicely preserved coin. Where a collector might expect to see the usual deviation in the sharp relief on the central devices, mainly in the centers of the coin where the design often failed to completely fill the dies, this standout specimen takes the opposite road by being boldness personified. What a marvel to behold! Pop 27. (PCGS # 5019) .
Estimated Value $800 - 900.
