1873-S. PCGS graded MS-63. A boldly struck brilliant untoned example. Last year issue of this venerable little silver denomination, in production since 1792 but now all but forgotten by the mainstream populace. Its demise came about through the Coinage Act of 1873 which also abolished the Silver Dollar (for five years), substituting instead a Trade Dollar in its place (PCGS # 4405) Estimated Value $175 - 200
