Lot 632
Three Strand Sterling Silver Bead Necklace & Turquoise Butterfly Pendant. A masterpiece made in 2006 by two well-known Navajo silver-smiths: Alison Lee and John Yazzie. Allison hand-made the three-strand silver bead necklace, which is 18 inches long, and weighs 7 ounces. John made the butterfly pendant with four wonderful pieces of natural turquoise from the elusive Number 8 mine in Nevada. The colors range from light blue-green along the outer edges, to dark blue-green in the center. The two upper wings and two lower wings match perfectly. The pendant is 3 by 2½ inches. The larger cabochons are 1 5/8" by ¾". The smaller cabs are ¾" triangular cut stones. The pendant can also be worn as a pin. One of the best American Indian pieces in the auction. $1,200 - 1,800
