STS-1, 1981, White House Presentation Photo Album. An unusual 6x4.5" leather presentation album with the Presidential Seal on the cover and six color photos of the STS-1 flight enclosed. A printed cover note reads: "Presidential Luncheon honoring Space Shuttle Columbia Astronauts John Young and Robert Crippen / The White House, Washington, DC, May 19, 1981". An undated printed note from President Ronald Reagan on White House card stock reads: "Through you, today, we all feel as giants once again. Once again we feel the surge of pride that comes from knowing we are the first and we are the best and we are so becvause we are free, Ronald Reagan". Some small fauts, but a scarce STS-1 piece of memorabilia.
