Shuttle Program, c1980s, "Solar Array Power Transfer Roll Ring" Presentation Plaque (8x1") This system was developed to transfer power from the rotating solar array assembly to the main space station. The model is mounted on a wooden plaque (10x12") with a descriptive plate that reads: "100kW Roll Ring (500 volt; 200 Ampere) Developed for Space Station by Lewis Research Center". The plaque was presented to Thomas Moser, 1st Space Station Program Director. He has signed the back of the placque.
