1847 N-22 R3+ PCGS graded MS62 Brown, CAC approved. Glossy reddish chocolate and steel. Probably lightly cleaned and retoned long ago, but the eye appeal is excellent. A tiny swipe of darker olive toning down from the earlobe is the only notable mark. Sharply struck M-LDS, die state e. The die cracks on the obverse are clear. Our grade is MS60. The attribution and Carvin Goodridge provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 in 65BN.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
Ex Floyd T. Starr, Stack's 6/13/1984:528-Carvin Goodridge collection (lot ticket included).
