1837 N-9 R1 VF30. Beaded Hair Cord. VF-30. Ten points sharper with extremely fine roughness mostly hidden under a glossy steel brown and chocolate patina that’s mottled with specks of darker olive toning on both sides. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a tiny rim bruise at the bottom of the reverse. Sharply struck EDS. The reverse is uncracked and the always-present obverse crack slanting through the portrait does not reach the bust tip or extend beyond the top of the head. The reverse is not rotated. Removed from an NCS slab graded AU details environmental damage (NCS label included, and it shows the attribution and Reiver provenance). DWH #2946.
