This is the set used as plate coins for the Seaby reference book English Silver Coinage (4th edition of 1974 by H.A. Seaby and P.A. Rayner, page 229). Features a crown-sized portrait piece of Elizabeth II, and the reverse designs of each proposed denomination. Choice Proofs, the silver a lovely light iridescent silvery gold, the bronzes reddish brown, retaining most of the mint red. One of the key modern rarities of England! Lot of 8 coins. Proof Choice.
