1881-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-63. Lovely rose and green obverse toning. The reverse is nice rainbow colors. A coin bursting with iridescent afterglow, exquisitely toned and blazing in appearance. The surfaces are clear of all but a few bagmarks. It is easy to see this piece was delivered a hard blow by the dies, as well, since the dies seem to have yielded the requisite force, and which imparted their sharpness to the struck planchet. The photographs of the toning give a good account, but first-hand interaction with the coin produces a more striking experience! (PCGS # 7130) .
Estimated Value $400 - 500.
