Lot of Ten Broken Bank Notes, c. 1837-1862. Lot consists of six issued and four un-issued and unsigned pieces. The six include: 1837 Susquehanna Railroad Co. $100 stock share note; 1837 Manchester, Michigan $2 note; a Frederick, Maryland, Chesapeake Ohio Canal Co. $20 note; Savannah, Georgia, 1860 Merchants & Planners $5 note; Mt. Clemmens, Michigan, 1858 Bank of Macomb County $2 note; and an 1862 Salisbury, Maryland, Somerset & Worcester $2 bank note. The un-issued items are: $5 Canal Bank note of New Orleans, a $20 and $100 Citizen's Bank of Louisiana; and fine Detroit, Michigan $5 States Bank note with a finely detailed paddle-wheel steamer on the Great Lakes. A lovely little group with both steamship and early railroad vignettes. Lot of 10 notes. Notes grade from Fine to nice Uncirculated.
