Autograph Note Signed ("Albert Schweitzer"), in German, on a First Day Cover depicting a Cachet Craft cachet of the 500th Anniversary of the printing of the Holy Bible by Johann Gutenberg, postmarked Washington, D.C., September 30, 1952, but dated 1953 in Schweitzer’s hand. Cover addressed to Harry Gustkey of Detroit. Although written through the postmark and address, Schweitzer’s characteristically small handwritten note of over thirty words is quite legible and attractive.
