Great Britain. Medal, 1688. Woolf-3:8; MI-640,66. Silver 45.4 grams. 48.9 mm. by R. Arondeaux, Holland. Landing of William of Orange at Torbay. William, as a Roman Emperor, greeted by Britannia. Britannia wears the crowns of the three kingdoms. James in flight, accompanied by the faces of Father Petre, who carries the infant Prince bearing a wind-mill. Reverse: Ships landing troops at a fortified harbour. Lovely old gray toning. NGC graded MS-63.
