1851/81 N-3 R1 51 over inverted 18 NGC graded MS63 Brown. Frosty steel brown and chocolate. The surfaces are dull thanks to a thin layer of oxidation that hides the luster, but a proper brushing should bring it back to life. No notable spots, stains or contact marks, but there is a hint of friction on the highest points of the designs. MDS, die state b. The undertype inverted 18 (creating the so-called "51 over 81" overdate) is dull but clearly visible. Our grade is AU55. Estimated Value $800-UP
