1861-S $20 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-50. A rare date in Mint State and therefore desirable as an AU which costs only a fraction of the price. A high degree of luster graces the satiny gold surfaces whose impact is made all the more forceful by warm orange toning. The fields as well as the devices show numerous small contact marks. Pop 78.
