Valentino, Rudolph. Matted and framed 14 x 12 1/2". (1895-1926) Italian born actor who became the leading 'screening lover' of the 1920s with such films as The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse(1921), The Sheikh(1921) and Blood and Sand(1922) In 1926, at the height of his fame, he became ill and died of a perforated ulcer. His body lay in state, attracting crowds, riots, and suicide attempts by his fans.

Signed Photograph 9 x 7½ ", sepia tone vintage print. Inscribed in green ink (non-faded), "To Miss Margaret A. Clouser / Sincerely / Rudolph Valentino." Fine.
