Lot 3965

1911-S $10 Indian. PCGS graded MS-63. Scarce date in Mint State. A satiny golden coin with strong luster on choice matte-like surfaces. What gladdens us more than usual is to see a crisp rather than a dullish, smooth impression was left by the pressure of the dies that struck this sharp '11-S specimen. One of the low mintage issues, only 51,000 left the dies at San Francisco that year. Although we can only imagine it now, we expect there will be a look of mingled joy and awe in the eyes of the next owner of this handsome piece, knowing the coin's value and rarity in high grade. Pop 16; 52 finer. (PCGS # 8870) .
Estimated Value $5,600 - 6,000.

Realized $7,763
