Lot 380
1808 S-277 R2 Turban Head VG10. Sharper by at least 5 points but there is a patch of very fine roughness in the field at stars 6-7. No verdigris and only a few minor contact marks. Lightly cleaned and retoned glossy medium chocolate brown with lighter brown toning covering the protected areas on the reverse. Most of the dentils have been very carefully strengthened. MDS, Breen state IV. Star 1 is very weak due to cracks and die failure at TA in STATES.
