Rome. An "almost Collection" of Twelve Caesars, in Silver & Bronze. Included are: Julius Caesar; Elephant AR. Augustus: AR Quinarius, Victory on Cista Mystica (ex jewelry); and Gaius & Lucius Caesars Denarius; and an AE Dupondius, moneyer's series, perhaps Sear II, no. 1663. Tiberius: 2 AR "Tribute Pennies;" and an AE As, SC reverse. Caligula: As, Vesta reverse. Agrippa (under Caligula): Neptune reverse. Claudius: 2 AE asses, Minerva & Libertas reverses. Nero: 2 AE asses, Temple of Janus; also an AE from Antioch, SC in wreath. Galba: AR Denarius, Livia standing. Vitellius: AR Denarius, seated Vesta. Vespasian: AR Denarius, Pax seated left; also two AE's -- a Dupondius, Roma seated, and an As, with eagle reverse. Titus: AR Denarius, Ceres seated left. And finally, Domitian: AR Denarius, Minerva standing; and an AE As, Victory right. Inspection recommended, due to the variety of preservation and surfaces, especially on the AE coins. Some nice material. Lot of 22 coins. Coins range from Very Good to Very Fine; most in Fine condition.
