Marcus Aurelius, 161-180 AD. Gold Aureus (7.32g); Rome, struck 162 AD. Scarce. Bare head right. Reverse: Aurelius and Verus, both togate, stand facing each other and clasping hands; CONCORDIAE AVGVSTOR TR P XVI, COS III in exergue. RIC 41; C. 73; Calico 1827. Finely centered, sharply struck on nearly round flan. Fields fully lustrous, with choice portrait in high relief of Aurelius. Extremely Fine.
