Valentinian II, AD 375-392. AR Light Miliarense minted at Lugdunum, AD 388-392. Diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right of Valentinian II. Reverse: Emperor in military attire standing facing, head left, holding vexillum in left hand and resting right on grounded shield; in exergue, LVGPS. RSC 18†; RIC 40; Gnecchi 2. Very rare. Beautifully toned. Superb Extremely Fine.
