Gable, Clark & Lombard, Carole (1901- 1960) Screen Icon. Most famous for his role as Rhett Butler in the legendary epic, Gone with the Wind (1939), married Lombard in 1939.


Carole Lombard (1908- 1942) A perfect heroine of the screwball comedies such as Twentieth Century(1934), and My Man Godfrey(1936). Her popularity unfortunately was short lived as she met a tragic ending in 1942 in a plane crash.

Inscribed Photograph Signed (By both). sepia tone, 9 x 11", matte finish, n.d., n.p. The photo is inscribed along the right margin in green ink in Lombard's hand, "To Jim / our best to you always / Carole & Clark" (Gable's signature is in his hand).
Some minor creases along upper edge and retouching along right edge. Otherwise exceptionally choice.
