Great Britain. Sovereign, 1848. S.3852C; Fr-387e; KM-736.1. Obverse, young portrait of Queen Victoria by Wyon, date below. Reverse, crowned shield of arms within wreath. This is a superb uncirculated specimens which glistens with original luster. A deceptively rare date in the highest grades.which only comes around every few years. Dr Terner's specimen sold for several times the Spink Unc catalogue price in 2003! This, and the following lot would be virtually impossible to replace. NGC graded MS-64. WINGS Approved.
