Pertinax, AD 193. AR Denarius minted at Rome, AD 193. Laureate head right of Pertinax. Reverse: Ops seated left, holding two grain ears. RIC 8(a) [as R2]; BMC 19. Seldom seen reverse. Nicely toned; excellent portrait on a typically small flan. Choice Very Fine with good delineation.

Ops is a personification of wealth. She is rarely seen on other emperors' coinage, and normally holds corn ears or scepter.
Estimated Value $800 - 900.
