This is the ever-popular "transitional" issue of the Indian cent with an 1858 date, part of a pattern series (all by James B. Longacre) that includes his large eagle, a small eagle, this Indian head, married to several reverses. Well struck and choice overall, with light hairlines, a few tiny carbon flecks, but nicely formed rims (PCGS # 11885) .
