Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 48

Lot 314

1794 S-65 R1. VG-10. Sharpness VF30 but the surfaces are covered with microscopic roughness, and the obverse fields were very lightly abraded in an attempt to remove a thin layer of verdigris. The abrasions do not alter the natural toning, which is a decent and rather glossy mix of dark chocolate brown with lighter brown highpoints. Nicely struck EDS, Breen state II. The date and legends are complete and clear.
Estimated Value $500 - 750.

Realized $690
