Macedonia as a Roman Province. Circa 167-149 BC. AR Tetradrachm. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield decorated with seven eight-pointed stars within double crescents, each separated by three pellets. Reverse: Club with monogram and legend above and below; all within oak wreath with thunderbolt to left. SNG Cop 1314; SNG Ashmolean 3299 v; SNG Fitzwilliam 2342 v. Toned. ICG graded EF-45.
