Macedonia as a Roman Province. Circa 167- 149 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.94 g) minted at Amphipolis. Diademed and draped bust right of Artemis, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield decorated with eight-pointed stars within double crescents, each separated by three pellets. Reverse: Club with monogram and legend above and below; all within oak wreath with thunderbolt to left. Extremely Fine.
