Lot 305

1803 S-254 R1 VF35. Sharpness close to mint state but there are two small patches of microscopic roughness off the lower end of the hair ribbon and several similar patches on the reverse, the worst of those at D-S. Most of the obverse is perfectly smooth while most of the reverse suffers from extremely fine granularity. No verdigris or marks, and the toning is an attractive glossy light chocolate brown with frosty lighter brown in protected areas. Sharply struck LDS, Breen state IV, with a raised retained cud break at the bust tip.
Estimated Value $800-UP.
