R.D. Van Arsdell finished his masterly tome Celtic Coinage of Britain in 1989. Over 600 pages, it is the best reference covering this diverse coinage. The rarity guide must be taken in a relative manner, as many new finds have added to the numbers extant, as well as to the avid interest in this fascinating series.
