Lot 301

1793 S-13 R4- Liberty Cap. VG-10. Sharpness VF25 but lightly corroded and there is dark greenish verdigris patinated over much of both sides suggesting this cent was lost in soil for a while. The highpoints of the design are smooth and the details are bold in spite of the imperfect surfaces. Partly glossy dark olive and chocolate with shallow greenish patination covering all but the highpoints. Nicely struck EDS, Breen state I. The date and legends are complete and bold.
Estimated Value $12,000 - 15,000.
