Ptolemaic Egypt. Ptolemy I Soter, 305-283 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.96g). By the "Delta" Master. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis, tiny Δ behind ear. Reverse: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, at left, P, with MY monogram below. SNG Cop. --; Svoronos 253. Light graffiti front and back; a small "test" sinking in obverse right field. Very attractive iridescent toning, with blues and reds. Bold portrait, typical of this engraver. Choice Very Fine, or better.
